Semiclassical Phase Reduction Theory for Quantum Dissipative Nonlinear oscillators
Department of Systems and Control Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology
Phase reduction theory is a framework for analyzing rhythmic dynamics of limit cycle oscillators under weak perturbations. In this paper, we present a general framework of semiclassical phase reduction theory for quantum nonlinear dissipative oscillators. We reduce multi-dimensional semiclassical Langevin equations to an approximate one-dimensional Langevin equation of phase variable, from which we can reconstruct the density matrix. Using the derived phase equation, we analyze synchronization of a quantum self-sustained oscillator with an external drive.
