Effect of P/As substitution on electronic properties of LaFeP1-xAsxO
Dept. of Phys., Osaka Univ, Dept. of Engin. Sci., Osaka UnivA We have previously discovered the novel features in the effect of P/As substitution on LaFeP1-xAsxO. When P content is increased, the antiferromagnetic order in LaFeAsO is suppressed and superconductivity, with the maximum Tc of about 10 K, is induced. Further increasing P content to about x = 0.5 will suppress superconductivity and another antiferromagnetic phase appears. In high-P content region (x =0 – 0.2), another superconducting phase emerges, with the maximum Tc of about 12 K. To understand the change of electronic properties due to P/As substitution, and their relation to antiferromagnetic orders and superconductivity, transport properties and specific heat of LaFeP1-xAsxO (x = 0 – 1.0) have been investigated. Temperature dependence of resistivity approaches to linear at x ~ 0.6, suggesting the crossover from FeAs-type to FeP-type Fermi surface. Strong temperature dependence of Hall coefficients is observed in the samples of x = 0.3 – 0.6. It may be due to the change of Fermi surface or the appearance of the antiferromagnetic order. No sudden jump is observed in specific heat measurements for the samples of x = 0.3 – 0.6. It suggests that the appearance of the antiferromagnetic order does not associate with structural changes.
